Can irregular sleep patterns like going to bed super late and waking up super late decrease brain fuction than if I were to go to bed super early and wake up super early, both instances getting the same amount of sleep, 10 hours?

I don’t know if it would decrease your brain function but from what I have read via Dr. John Douillard, an Ayurvedic doctor, we need sleep patterns in which we go to bed by 10:00pm and get up by 6:00am. And when we disrupt this pattern by going to bed later, etc. it can have an effect on our mood, metabolism, and more. He has a lot of articles on his website, LifeSpa.com.
