How do I cope with my absurdly high sensitivity? I feel so alone. The people that I connect with are just blown away by my already tempered response to them. I keep scaring people and have to cope with the feeling of losing a loved one every time.

There is a book called “The Empath’s Survival Guide” by Dr. Judith Orloff.

It sounds like you might be intuitive and highly sensitive in the sense of also being an empath (someone that feels the energy of others, etc.). Her book might help you.
