Do you think a person who lies to you and is upset at you for their own lie has some underlying psychological issue?

Not always. But sometimes.

It sounds to me like this person is actually upset at themselves for lying to you and so they are taking it out on you by projecting their feelings at you. They might also be upset that you caught them in a lie – which isn’t your fault.

  1. They shouldn’t be lying to being with.
  2. They shouldn’t be projecting their anger and/or other negative emotions at you.

It isn’t cool.
